Mary Gadbois, DDS

So many people go through life without smiling. By improving oral health and the aesthetics of my patients’ teeth, I am able to change their lives by giving them back their smile.

Making sure that my patients have a comfortable experience with us, especially if they are fearful, is also of great concern to me. My patients have become a part of my family; I know about their interests, children, jobs, and school, and I look forward to catching up with their lives when they come in for an appointment. I feel like I’ve become a part of their lives, not only by making them healthier, but by getting to know them personally, as well.

Since graduating from the University of Tennessee in Memphis with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, I have continued to update my education through courses and seminars regarding treatment planning and diagnosis. I believe it is important to stay current with the latest and most effective treatments for my patients.

I have spent most of my life in Columbia. I have a wonderful husband, Tony, who practices with me as a dentist at this office. We met at Hickman High School and have been together ever since. We went to the University of Missouri-Columbia and dental school together and are excited to come to work every day to help the people in our community.

We have five amazing children, ranging in age from six to 20 years of age. With five kids, every spare moment I have is spent with them. As a family, we love playing basketball, reading, cooking, and watching movies and TV.

Tony Gadbois, DDS, AAACD

There are several things that I witness daily that make me love my profession. I love providing a safe, comfortable experience for our patients, especially those with dental anxiety, so they can visit the dentist without fear. Relieving patients of pain and knowing they’ll live the rest of their lives with improved health and well-being is also very fulfilling.

Finally, I love giving someone a great smile by straightening their teeth, whitening them, or placing veneers. So many people go through life without smiling, and giving them their smile back is an unforgettable experience. As dentists, we aren’t just dealing with teeth; we change people’s lives, and that is a good feeling.

My career in dentistry began at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Since then, I have completed extensive continuing education classes in orthodontics and Invisalign®, as well as training through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry on smile design, veneers, and full-mouth reconstruction.

I have also received training on gingival grafting, bone grafting, and implants. The types of dentistry I am able to provide to my patients are so different from those of even ten years ago. I love the fact that through continuing education, I am able to bring the latest in technology to my patients.

I was born in Iowa but moved to Columbia when I was three, and I’ve been a proud resident of this community ever since. I have a wonderful wife, Mary, who practices with me as a dentist at this office. We met at Hickman High School and have been together ever since. We even went to the University of Missouri-Columbia and dental school together.

We have five AMAZING children, ranging in age from 11 to 26 years of age, and enjoy many family activities, including playing basketball, reading, cooking, and watching movies or TV.
